Severe Weather Network

The Southeast Wyoming Severe Weather NET is based in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Currently NET control is located within the NWS facilities. This NET covers mainly Laramie County, however, Platte, Goshen, and Eastern Albany counties and Western Nebraska are slated for future NET coverage. On days when severe weather is expected, or occurring, the NWS may request that a Formal NET be activated. Reasons for activation could include but are not limited by the following situations, Request from the NWS, Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Warning, Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Watch, or the report of severe weather.
